Scott, the son of Darrell and Elizabeth (Keith) DeKoning, was born on February 28, 1971 in Newton. Scott enjoyed spending time on the computer, playing World of Warcraft and being with his family. Those left to honor Scott’s memory are his wife, Kelly DeKoning and her sons, Chris and Morgan; his mom, Elizabeth McGee and his dad and best friend, Carl McGee, both of Kellogg; siblings, Mark (Chrissy) DeKoning of Unionville, Missouri and Julie (John) Cummins of Newton; his step-siblings, Ronnie McGee of Des Moines, Ray (Joleen) McGee of Newton, Rick (Sandy) McGee of Newton, and Rebecca (James) Harned of Newton; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Darrell DeKoning and grandmother, Evelyn DeKoning.
