Description	:	SEBASTIAN HINEBAUGH Sebastian Hinebaugh age 89 years, 9 days die at his home near Deer Park on February 5. at 6:10 P. M. He had been ill for several weeks with Influenza and complications. Mr. Hinebaugh was born in Somerset County, Pa., January 27, 1840. He came to Garrett County in 1855. Read More	SEBASTIAN HINEBAUGH Sebastian Hinebaugh age 89 years, 9 days die at his home near Deer Park on February 5. at 6:10 P. M. He had been ill for several weeks with Influenza and complications. Mr. Hinebaugh was born in Somerset County, Pa., January 27, 1840. He came to Garrett County in 1855. Most of his time has been spent here since then. He served in the Civil War as Wagon Master and could tell many interesting evnets. He was married to Emily T. Harvey in 1866 and to this union were born eleven children, nine of whom are living. He is survived by his wife, Emily. aged 83; sister Elmira, aged 91 three daughters. Mrs. DeBerry of Corinth. Mrs. Ella Moon, Deer Park, Mrs. Ida Durham, Morgantown, W. Va. Six sons , Robert W., James A. Earl J. of Deer Park : Brunner of Caroline,W. Va.. Ray of Morgantown: Will of Crellin. Thirty-one grandchildren and twenty- five great-grandchildren also survive. He gave his heart to God this fall and has served him since then. He said he had no fear and was prepared for the journey to the Great Beyond. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Westfall in the M.E. Church at Deer Park. Interment was made in the Deer Park Cemetery. (Hand dated--2/14/1929 ) ************************************** What got me started on the Hinebaughs was curiosity where the name "Boss" came into the picture. As it turned out, "Boss" didn't come from his father, but from his mother's father, Sebastian "Boss" Tissue. "Laurel Messenger", published by Somerset County Historical Society Nov. 1963 issue, page 7 or 117 in bound 1960-1970 Volume. Article by Preston Hinebaugh- "William Tissue is buried in Jersey Churchyard, Somerset Co.". Sebastian Tissue was a son of William Tissue and second wife, Hulda Rush. "SEBASTIAN TISSUE whose nick-name was "Boss" is veteran of War of 1812.
