Hilton --------------------- At a candle-lighted altar in the Bethany Lutheran church on the evening of Nov. 30 at 8 o'clock, Miss Seiri Marie Johnson became the bride of Harry L. Hilton of Plover. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest J. Johnson of Great Oak township and the groom is the son of Bert Hilton of Plover. The bridal party was ushered in by the bride's brother, Leonard Dale, and her cousin, Irwin Barth of Havelock. After the bride's mother was taken to her seat and the white carpet was unrolled, the candles were lighted by Miss Betty Duhn and Miss Vivian Seteen who wore pink formal gowns and pink and white corsages. The bridesmaids were cousins of the bride. They were Miss Jeanne Barth of Havelock, who wore a pink frock, Miss Darlene Johnson of Rolfe and Miss Mavis Johnson of Albert City in blue frocks. The wore pink and white corsages. The maid of honor was Miss Elaine Carroll of Clarion. She was attired in a pink formal gown and carried a colonial bouquet. The bride entered on the arm of her father who wore a dark brown suit and a white boutonniere. The were met at the altar by the broom. The bride's gown was of white satin and lace fashioned with a long train. Her lace veil was crowned by a tiara of seed pearls. Her only ornament was a gold cross. She carried a bouquet of pink roses. The best man, Leonard Henderson of Plover, wore a gray suit with a white boutonniere. The Rev. M. C. Thompson performed the double ring ceremony. Tom Bratland sang "I Love You Truly" before the ceremony, and while the bridal pair knelt at the altar, he sang "The Lord's Prayer." Mrs. M. C. Thompson was the pianist. She wore a black dress and a corsage of white mums. The bride's mother wore a black dress with gold ornament. Her corsage was white mums. The bride's grandmother, Mrs. Emma Ruberg, also wore black and had a corsage of white mums. Mrs. Grace Branhay, the groom's sister, who has managed their home since the death of their mother, wore a blue velvet and had a white mum corsage. The bridal pair received the congratulations of friends and relatives in the church vestibule. The bride was baptized, confirmed and married at the same altar by Rev. Thompson. Over 200 relatives and friends attended the reception in the church parlors. The bride's chosen colors, pink, blue and white, were used in the reception parlors. Mrs. Hilton will continue her work at the Good Housekeeping Shop. She and her husband will move to a farm later. Out of town relatives and friends were present from Woodward, Des Moines, Garner, Havelock, Bradgate, Clarion and Albert City.
