Description	:	From Benson County Farmers Press. The funeral for Selmer Straabe, 78, of Leeds was held Fri. at 2 p.m. at the North Prairie Free Lutheran Church, rural Leeds. Interment was in the church cemetery. He died April 3, 1995 at the Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby. Rev. Mark Antal officiated. Karen Anderson was organist, Mayme Silliman was pianist & Nancy Silliman was soloist. Pallbearers were Richard Jorgenson, Darcy Robinson, Ernest Stave, Roger Johnson, Duane Rauk & Howard Quammen. Selmer Straabe was born Dec. 29, 1916 on the family farm in York Township to Aanen & Martha Fiveland Straabe. He was raised & educated in York Township. After his education he farmed the family farm until moving to Leeds in 1984. He then assisted with farming until retiring. He was a member of the North Prairie Free Lutheran Church & the Elks Lodge & Eagles Aerie, both of Devils Lake. Survivers include a sister, Alice Sateren of Devils Lake.
