Selona Westcott was born February 17, 1917, in Fairfield, Nebraska to Cyrus F. and Martha J. (Woods) Westcott. She graduated from Fairfield High School and married S. Selona Westcott was born February 17, 1917, in Fairfield, Nebraska to Cyrus F. and Martha J. (Woods) Westcott. She graduated from Fairfield High School and married S. Kenneth Lotspeich on June 17, 1937. They lived in Superior, Grand Island and Kearney, Nebraska before moving to Madison, South Dakota in 1948. In 2009 she moved to Lynchburg, Virginia to be near her daughter. While living in Madison, Selona was employed for a time at Interlakes Medical Clinic & Pharmacy, and at Galloway's Department Store. She was active in her church, served as president of UMW, was a member of the Angel Circle and provided many hand knitted baby sweaters for their mission projects. She was an accomplished homemaker and enjoyed sewing, gardening and cooking for her family. On numerous occasions she entertained faculty and students from the college where her husband taught. Later in life, she took up painting, and created many beautiful pictures for her family and friends. In retirement, she and Kenneth enjoyed traveling and shared many trips with her sister and husband. In the community, she was a 58-year member of PEO and a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lynn Wayne (Sonna) Seipp of Lynchburg, VA; a son, Steven Kenneth (Mary Vandeventer) Lotspeich of Auerbach, Germany; a son-in-law, Don McNeil of Madison; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and nieces, nephews & cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, S. Kenneth Lotspeich in 1984; a daughter, Sue (Lotspeich) McNeil in 2009; a brother, Albert Leo Westcott; a sister, Audrey (Westcott) Harvey; and an infant son, Stanley Quinn in 1940.
