Description	:	Seth Allen was born in Ogle county Ill., December 16, 1856 and died at the home of his son, Claude Allen, near Neligh, Nebr. March 30, 1930 at the age of 73 years, 3 months, and 14 days. The deceased moved to Neligh in the spring of 1883. Like other pioneers of the west, he became familiar with all the exposures and privation so prevalent in the early days of Antelope county. Read More	Seth Allen was born in Ogle county Ill., December 16, 1856 and died at the home of his son, Claude Allen, near Neligh, Nebr. March 30, 1930 at the age of 73 years, 3 months, and 14 days. The deceased moved to Neligh in the spring of 1883. Like other pioneers of the west, he became familiar with all the exposures and privation so prevalent in the early days of Antelope county. He was married to Jennie Bellar on March 25, 1891, and to them were born 4 children, namely, Arthur and Claude Allen of Neligh, Mrs. Bessie Barber of Casper, Wyo., and Mrs. Coral Spence of Norfolk. Besides these four children the deceased leaves to mourn his loss, ten grandchildren. Mr. Allen was the last to go of a family of twelve children. Mr. Allen was known among his old acquaintances and many friends as a honest, upright man, and a good neighbor, a kind father and a good citizen. Funeral services were conducted from the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon by the pastor and interment was made in Laurel Hill cemetery.
