Description	:	SFC Buster Shelley, 81, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018 at GSRMC surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 14, 1936 in Conway, a son of the late Mary Shelley Duncan. He was also predeceased by his wife, Genewood Shelley. Buster attended Loris High School before enlisting in the Army in August of 1955 and retiring after twenty-two years of service. He served in Berlin, Germany, Vietnam, Korea, Japan, Panama and Czechoslovakia. Read More	SFC Buster Shelley, 81, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018 at GSRMC surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 14, 1936 in Conway, a son of the late Mary Shelley Duncan. He was also predeceased by his wife, Genewood Shelley. Buster attended Loris High School before enlisting in the Army in August of 1955 and retiring after twenty-two years of service. He received many awards, decorations and service medals, including the Purple Heart from Vietnam on June 3, 1969, Combat Infantryman Badge and the Army Commendation Medal. Buster was a long time member of Conway Masonic Lodge #65, the Omar Shrine Temple and an active member of the Hut Bible Class in Conway. Mr. Shelley is survived by his children, Toni Gore (David) and Terri Shelley (Brian); five sisters, Donna Arnette (Wilbur), Carol Boger, Sandra Campbell (Malcolm), Alice Duncan and Myron Herring (Russell); one brother, Bryan Duncan (Patti); three grandchildren, Shane Floyd (Rebecca), Staci Floyd (Chris) and Ashley Shelley; three great grandchildren, Harper Elise Floyd, Weston Christopher Warren and Hudson Shane Floyd. Funeral Services will be held 2pm Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Watson Funeral Services Chapel with Dr. Billy Carroll officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery with full military honors. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
