The folks who ordered Aaron's military stone got his service and rank wrong. He served under Col. William Bratton while still living on Fishing Creek, which was in Camden Dist SC during the war. It became part of York Co. afterward. Aaron did not move to Pendlton Dist until after the war. His military and land records clearly show this. Also, they show he served as lieutenant in the volunteers early in the war and an then as an orderly sergeant later. Read less
