Kenny grew up in Heaton and he attended school in Fessenden, ND. Kenny enlisted in the U.S. Air Force serving from January 29, 1974 to January 28, 1978. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. Read More	Kenneth “Kenny” Swart Aug. 1, 1956 - Dec. 5, 2019 Kenneth Doyal Swart, was born August 1, 1956, in Mandan, ND, the son of Lester and Mary (Hood) Swart. Kenny grew up in Heaton and he attended school in Fessenden, ND. Kenny enlisted in the U.S. Air Force serving from January 29, 1974 to January 28, 1978. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. Upon his discharge, Kenny attended the Police Academy in 1978, and was a Deputy Sheriff until 1985. He then trucked for four years. In 1989, Kenny started working for the Canadian Pacific Railroad for one year and then switched over to Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad; Kenny worked his way up the ladder through hard work and dependability. He continued working there until he retired in the summer of 2018. Kenny was blessed with four children. His family was his pride and joy, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren whom he adored. Kenny was an extraordinary carpenter and a jack of all trades. He enjoyed the great outdoors, he spent time hunting, fishing, camping, and riding his Harley Davidson when the opportunity presented itself. Kenny was also a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance Way Union. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Mary; one brother Dan.
