Martin, 39, lifelong Akron area resident, died unexpectedly at his farm home Saturday, April 12, afternoon after suffering a heart attack. Mr. Martin was born in Plymouth County Dec. 24, 1919. He was a farmer and livestock feeder. A marine veteran of World War II, Mr. Martin saw service on Guadalcanal, Tarawa, the Gilberts, Saipan, Tinian and the Mariannas. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church at Akron. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery
