He was married to Revella (Peachie) Heselton on January 24, 1948 who predeceased him on April 24, 1997. Joly July 11, 1923 - September 30, 2011 Brooklyn - Roland W. Joly, 88, of Brooklyn, died Thursday, September 30, 2011 at the Pierce Memorial Baptist Home in Brooklyn. He was married to Revella (Peachie) Heselton on January 24, 1948 who predeceased him on April 24, 1997. He later married Lorraine (Duval) Lemery Joly on October 6, 2007 He was born July 11, 1923 in Killingly, CT, son of the late Onesime and Melina (Pincince) Joly. Roland worked as a carpenter for many years for Savin Brothers Construction Company. He was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus in Scituate, RI and served in the US Army Infantry during World War II in Central Europe and Rhineland Campaigns. He leaves his wife Lorraine, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by eight brothers; Joseph, Arthur, Ernest, Onesime, Harvey, Herman, Archie, Lucien and three sisters; Marie, Izola and Lucienne. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, October 28, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. James Church, 12 Franklin Street Danielson, CT. Burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery with Military Honors.
