Description	:	Sharon Ann Weymiller, 76, of New Albin, passed away Monday October 19, 2015 peacefully at Thornton Manor surrounded by her family. She was born December 19, 1938 to Edward and Gladys (Johnson) Witt. She grew up in La Crosse, Wisconsin and was a 1956 graduate of Central High School. On October 5, 1957 she married Edwin Weymiller at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in La Crosse. They resided on their farm south of New Albin for twenty-five years. Read More	Sharon Ann Weymiller, 76, of New Albin, passed away Monday October 19, 2015 peacefully at Thornton Manor surrounded by her family. She was born December 19, 1938 to Edward and Gladys (Johnson) Witt. She grew up in La Crosse, Wisconsin and was a 1956 graduate of Central High School. On October 5, 1957 she married Edwin Weymiller at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in La Crosse. They resided on their farm south of New Albin for twenty-five years. Then moved into New Albin, where they currently resided until her death. She had several jobs throughout her life, but the one she enjoyed the most was her years at Thornton Manor. She was a kind, loving, generous and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She lived for her family, which was the joy of her life. She loved cooking, sewing, crocheting, knitting, shopping, walking, snowmobiling, bowling and crossword puzzles. Christmas was her favorite time of year from decorating to cooking, but especially spoiling her grandchildren. She was in preceeded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ida Mae Leppert and Diane Lesnick; one brother, Kenneth Witt and a dear friend, Lucille. A special appreciation for the loving care given to Sharon, from Shelly and Colleen and the staff of Veterans Memorial Hospital and Thornton Manor Nursing Home. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am on Friday, October 23, 2015 at St. Peter Community Christian Church, New Albin, Iowa with Rev. William Reese as the Officiant. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery, New Albin, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in memory of Sharon Weymiller to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
