Description	:	Sharon D. Strong, age 69, of Tipton, Indiana passed away on Saturday September 13, 2014 at IU Health Tipton Hospital in Tipton, Indiana. She was born in Sneedville, Tennessee on June 20, 1945 to Davis and Opal (Hopkins) Jones. Sharon attended Rock Prairie Baptist Church in Tipton. She enjoyed reading, especially the bible in her free time. She loved to garden, volunteer her time to help others, being surrounded by her family and cooking for them all at family get togethers and spending time with her grandchildren. Strong, age 69, of Tipton, Indiana passed away on Saturday September 13, 2014 at IU Health Tipton Hospital in Tipton, Indiana. She was born in Sneedville, Tennessee on June 20, 1945 to Davis and Opal (Hopkins) Jones. Sharon attended Rock Prairie Baptist Church in Tipton. She enjoyed reading, especially the bible in her free time. She loved to garden, volunteer her time to help others, being surrounded by her family and cooking for them all at family get togethers and spending time with her grandchildren. Sharon was a graduate of Tipton High School, class of 1962. She owned and operated Number 10 Charring Cross Eatery in Littleton, Colorado for over twenty years. Her survivors include two children: Kristen Prokop of Greentown, Indiana and Robert Allen Strong Jr. of Greenwood, Indiana; siblings: Deena Cole of Akron, Ohio and Vicki Baker of Noblesville, Indiana. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Katlyn and Randy Vincent Brock Jr of Greentown, Indiana and Logan and Liam Strong of Greenwood, Indiana. Sharon is proceeded in death by her parents. A 2:00 PM funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday September 17, 2014 at the Porter Funeral Home located at 726 East North Street in Tipton, IN with Pastor Kevin Carr officiating. Calling is scheduled from 12:00 to 2:00 PM same day of services. Interment will take place in Tipton’s Fairview Cemetery.
