Description	:	Sharon Irene Vogt, 74, of Melbourne, entered into eternal life, August 13, 2011, at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. A celebration of her life will be held at 10:30am, Wednesday, August 17, at First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Rich King officiating. Interment will take place at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00pm August 16, 2011 at Pursel-Davis Funeral and Cremation Care. Sharon was born July 10, 1937, to Lawrence and Myrtle (Petermeier) Nason in Marshalltown IA. Sharon was united in marriage to Loren Vogt on November 5, 1955. She was a loving homemaker and worked 30 years in the accounts payable and shipping departments at Lennox. Sharon was a past member of the Van Cleve United Church of Christ where she served as organist beginning at age 13 and ending when the church closed in 1995. She also taught Sunday School was active in Womens Fellowship and was Choir Director there. After the church closed she joined First Presbyterian Church in Marshalltown. Sharon was also active in bridge club and with the Lennettes. She bowled with her husband in mixed league and in many ladies leagues. Sharon enjoyed playing golf, playing the piano and organ, watching her husband play fast pitch softball and children and grandchildren participate in a variety of sports. She was a volunteer at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Sharon will be deeply missed by her husband of 55 years, Loren, her two children; Noel and his wife Renee Vogt, Holly and her husband Randy Ritland, her grandchildren; Erika and her husband Landon Wolfe, Vicki and her husband Jerry Hales, Sierra Vogt O.D., Christopher Ritland, Timothy and his wife Rachel Ritland and Amanda Vogt, and her great-grandchildren; John, Callista, Journey and Kolbie.
