She was born May 30, 1939, in Iola, Kansas, to James A "Orb" and Betty J. (Gardner) Leslie. She was raised in Iola and was graduated from Iola High School in 1957. On June 8, 1958, she was married to Donald E. Jones in Iola, Kansas. They made their home in Gas most of their married life. She worked at the telephone company and later for Intercollegiate Press in Iola for 11 years. She was also a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, raising flowers and her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of the home; a daughter, Debbie Davis and husband, Ronald, Gas, KS; her mother, Betty Leslie, Iola, KS; a brother, Dan Leslie and wife, Cindy, Iola, KS; and two granddaughters, Valecia Kanak and husband, Mitchell, Leavenworth, KS, and Kori Davis, Gas, KS. Her father died earlier; and a daughter, LaDona Leigh Jones, died in 1997. Funeral services will be at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapels in Iola. The Rev. Debby Dick will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Iola, Kansas. Memorials suggested to the American Heart Association. ***************************
