Description	:	It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of SHARON MOLLY COX on Thursday, March 16, 2017 in Calgary, Alberta, following a lengthy illness. Sharon was born on July 7, 1946 to LeMond and Genneal Cox. She was born into a big, happy family and was welcomed by all. Read More	It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of SHARON MOLLY COX on Thursday, March 16, 2017 in Calgary, Alberta, following a lengthy illness. Sharon was born on July 7, 1946 to LeMond and Genneal Cox. She was born into a big, happy family and was welcomed by all. As the family moved occasionally where the farm work or jobs were for Sharon’s dad, she lived in the Picture Butte, Diamond City, Pincher Creek and Park Lake areas. Sharon was a fun loving and happy girl. She enjoyed all the activities that living on a farm entailed from horseback riding and outdoor games to helping the family haul hay bales, skating on the frozen pond in the winter and helping her mom make homemade candy and chocolates. She loved special occasions and loved to plan parties and decorate for them. Sharon attended high school in Picture Butte and was nominated for Spring Prom queen in her senior year. Her fun personality and spirit of adventure drew many people to her. Her love of music and dancing was discovered at an early age, and remained some of her favourite activities throughout her life. Sharon was a loyal friend, always ready to lend a listening and understanding ear. Upon graduation from Picture Butte High School, Sharon attended nursing school and obtained her Nurses’ Aid (LPN) certificate. During her nursing career, she worked in Calgary at Mount View Health Unit, Holy Cross Hospital and Bethany Care Center. Her kind and respectful nature was a blessing to many patients over the years. Sharon also resided in Lethbridge for a number of years. During that time, she worked as a clerk at Norbridge Pharmacy and thoroughly enjoyed the customers and her work. Sharon was blessed with a daughter, Candice, in 1969. Her daughter was her angel. Sharon and Candi loved their lifelong adventure together going camping, bowling, taking road trips, in-car picnics and spending a great deal of time with Sharon’s parents and siblings. Sharon cultivated many friendships over the years and shared great times and built lasting memories with them. She had a very special friendship with her sister-in-law, Hanna Cox, and spent countless hours over the years visiting with her and Don. Sharon was predeceased by her parents, LeMond and Genneal Cox, siblings Marie (Doug) Clark, Monte (Mary) Cox, Gary Cox, and Blaine Cox, sister-in-law Hanna Cox. She leaves to mourn her passing her best friend and love of her life, daughter Candi (Daaven) Green, siblings Kathryn (Les) Delparte, Sheldon (Pat) Cox, Karen (Jim) Bagshaw, Don Cox, Gayle (Bill) Toth, Lee Cox, sisters-in-law Marlene Cox and Connie Cox as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Salmon and Sons Funeral Home, 433 Stubb Ross Road South, Lethbridge, AB, on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Followed by the interment at Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond, Alberta.
