Driscoll, age 58 of Preston, Iowa died suddenly and unexpectedly this past Wednesday, December 27, 2000, at her home. Sharon was born on May 23, 1942 at the Savanna, Illinois hospital to Raymond J. and Selma K. Michaelsen Bruse. She grew up on the Bruse family farm near Green Island, Iowa and attended Preston schools. She graduated from Preston High School in 1960. She worked as secretary for the Preston School Superintendent and then attended Cosmetology College in Cedar Rapids. Following graduation, she was a beautician for several years at Marie's Salon in Clinton. Sharon and Dan were married on November 6, 1964 in Camanche, Iowa and they made their home in Clinton as they started their family. They relocated to the Preston community where Sharon became a full-time mother. She again worked for the Preston School District, serving in a variety of rolls for over 24 years. Currently, Sharon was the Preston Elementary School secretary. She was a member here at St. John's Lutheran Church and sang in the Country Chorale. And so our prayers and whatever help we can off are with Dan, Patty and Buff, Pam, Joel and Amy, Paula, Kevin, Nathan and Drake, Peggy and Eric, with Sharon's sister Julie, with Dick, Alyn and Donna and all other family members and friends. We also remember those who preceded Sharon in death, her daughter Penny, her parents and all those we love who have gone before. May her memory be blessed.
