Description	:	Sharon Sue Novak, 79, of Hartwick, IA passed away Thurs. Jan. 31, 2019 at her home. Memorial service is 1:00 p.m. Mon. Feb. 4th at Hrabak-Neuhaus funeral Service, Belle Plaine with Russ Spading officiating. Visitation will be half hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Oak hill Cemetery, Belle Plaine at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family. Following school, she was a secretary at HLV Community School. In 1958, Sharon married Allen Novak in Belle Plaine. Together the couple raised their family in Hartwick and Sharon worked for the Hartwick State Bank. Sharon continued her education through online classes earning her degree in Economics through the University of Northern Iowa. She retired from Verizon telephone company. Sharon enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning and playing cards in which, she belonged to a card club in Belle Plaine. She is survived by her children, Scott A. Novak of Grinnell, Doreen Novak of Belle Plaine and Cole Novak of Grinnell; grandchildren, Lee, Lesley, Laura, Nick and Amanda (Todd) Timm; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Patty (Don) Franzenburg, Hope (Joe) Taylor, Merlin Ealy and Teresa Ealy. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Allen in 2006.
