Read More	Shelia Williams, 90, of Clarinda, Iowa, passed away August 2, 2021, at Clarinda Regional Health Center. Shelia Rae (Mace) Williams was born March 22, 1931 at Clarinda, Iowa to Harley and Hazel Mace. She married John Lester Williams on November 20, 1946 in Hiawatha, Kansas. They were blessed with five children, Shira, Shilia, John, Shelly and Jaymes. Shelia lived her married life on a farm near Braddyville and after losing their home to fire, the family moved to Shambaugh and in later years, Shelia and Lester moved to Clarinda. Shelia led a productive life and worked over 100 jobs, starting at age 4 when she helped gather wood, coal, and cobs for her grandmother's cook stove for a few cents a day and a glass of milk and gingersnaps. Throughout her adult years she worked in retail, both for others and owning her own businesses. Her most enjoyable role was as the proprietor and owner of the Westcott House Bed and Breakfast. Shelia obtained joy from her children and grandkids, as well as from her achievements. In her words, "Joy comes from knowing that when you look around, you have everything you want and worked hard to accomplish as much as you could. When marriage or motherhood was difficult, I just did things. I coped with challenges in life with activity and making decisions to do what I needed or wanted to do." Shelia was very creative and enjoyed painting and crafts. She made many of the gift items for her store and for family, such as dolls, ceramics, wooden and stenciled items. The last two years she enjoyed the companionship of her cat, Baby Doll and teaching her to play fetch. Shelia is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 66 years, Lester; son, Jaymes; siblings Thelma Rapp, Roe Mace, Vera Baker, Norma Meyers, Harland Mace and infant Shilia Mace; and many more family and friends. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Shira Bridie and husband Larry of Clarinda; Shilia Pullen and husband Randy of Clarinda; Shelly Grimsley and husband Gene of Council Bluffs, Iowa; son, John Lester Williams, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Clarinda; grandchildren, Randy Pullen II and wife Trulla of Clarinda; Tonya Maxwell and husband Jason of West Des Moines, Iowa; Ryan Pullen and wife Terrin of North Lake, Texas; Ragan Pullen and wife Emily Johnson of Des Moines, Iowa; Jason Bridie and wife Sara of Grimes, Iowa; Joshua Bridie and husband Robert of Rancho Mirage, California; Jeremy Williams of Clarinda; Jarrod Williams and wife Melissa of Bellevue, Nebraska; Justin Williams of Clarinda; Shala Stroud of Clarinda; Scott Grimsley and wife Traci of Council Bluffs; Christen Grimsley of Tumwater, Washington; Karen MacCrate and husband Mike of Londonderry, New Hampshire; thirty one great grandchildren; five great, great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Eleanor Cabbage of Clarinda; Sharon Lightner and husband Lynn of Lincoln, Nebraska; Maureen Caddy of Gretna, Nebraska; other relatives and many friends. Shelia will be missed by her family and many friends. Her memory will live on in their hearts. May God grant comfort and peace to those who mourn her passing. And remember it is not Goodbye, just "So Long".
