Description	:	Shelby Jean Bryant Mills, 74, of Crozet, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 4, 2014. She was born in Albemarle County, on April 17, 1940, the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Hazel Carter Bryant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Preston Mills Jr. formerly of Culpepper, Virginia. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Regina Lynn; her son, Gilmer Wayne Wood; their father, Warren Lee Wood Sr.; grandparents, Howard E. and Noble P. Carter, William T. and Daisy T. Bryant; a sister, Hazel Beatrice Bryant; and brothers, Robert... Read More	Shelby Jean Bryant Mills, 74, of Crozet, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 4, 2014. She was born in Albemarle County, on April 17, 1940, the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Hazel Carter Bryant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Preston Mills Jr. formerly of Culpepper, Virginia. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Regina Lynn; her son, Gilmer Wayne Wood; their father, Warren Lee Wood Sr.; grandparents, Howard E. and Noble P. Carter, William T. and Daisy T. Bryant; a sister, Hazel Beatrice Bryant; and brothers, Robert Lewis, Donald Ray, William Loyd Bryant and an unnamed brother. She is survived by her son, Warren "Hubba" Wood Jr. and his friend, Kathy Parrott and grandson, Robert Lee Wood, all of Crozet; her brother, Roger Lee "Sonny" Bryant of Waynesboro; her sister, Anna Bryant Floyd and husband, Ernest Floyd of Mt. Solon; sister-in-Law, Linda Pforr Bryant of Lyndhurst; sister-in-law, Mary Martin and her husband, Paul of Fluvanna; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a former employee of Morton's Frozen Foods, Trimble's Dry Cleaners, and Dollar General Store all of Crozet. There was no stranger in her eyes, she was well known in the community through her years of service with the Crozet Volunteer Fire Department and Victory Hill Church. She enjoyed spreading the word of God through making Crosses and sharing them with world missions and most everyone she met. The family would like to give special thanks to Kathy Willis, Joan Snyder, Sara Maupin and Mary Martin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Crozet Fire Department, P. O. Box 696, Crozet, VA 22932 and Commonwealth Community Church, Crozet, VA 22932. Family will receive friends at the Anderson Funeral Home Tuesday, July 8, 2014, from 6 until 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at the Commonwealth Christian Community Church and interment will follow at Rockfish Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Nellysford, Virginia.
