She was born August 10, 1957, in Ottumwa to Varold and Dorothy Camden Gorden. A graduate of Ottumwa High School, she worked more than 20 years at GMAC Mortgage in Waterloo. Surviving are a son, Kyle Wheeler of Waterloo; a daughter, Caitlin Wheeler of Waterloo; a grandson, Julian Wheeler; a sister, Sue (Bill) Byers of Forest City; a brother, Mike Gorden (Sandy) of Ottumwa; nieces and nephews and many friends, including Sue Simpson and... She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Matthew; and a brother, Danny Gorden. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Miller officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be one hour prior to the service.
