Description	:	Sherry Lynn Harmon was called home to Heaven on Saturday, February 13, 2016 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Springdale, Arkansas on December 5, 1940, to Martin Clarence and Johnnie Belle Boyd Holt. Sherry was known for her quick wit and quirky sense of humor. She loved to make people laugh. Read More	Sherry Lynn Harmon was called home to Heaven on Saturday, February 13, 2016 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Springdale, Arkansas on December 5, 1940, to Martin Clarence and Johnnie Belle Boyd Holt. Sherry was known for her quick wit and quirky sense of humor. She loved to make people laugh. Even in the midst of her illness, she continued to find humor in the most difficult of circumstances. She was also an extremely gifted seamstress, quilter, and painter, and over the years, created numerous beautiful quilts that she gave as gifts. She was an adventurous soul who loved to travel; however, she was always drawn back home because she was a “house mouse” at heart. She loved to entertain and looked for any reason to throw a party. Although she did not like to cook, she was very good at it, and loved to throw themed parties for family and friends. Sherry was a very skilled shopper and Friday shopping trips and lunch with her sisters were a tradition. The tradition, started by her mother Johnnie Belle, was not as much about shopping, but more about the strong bond that exists between mothers, daughters, and sisters. Sherry was a loving and generous soul who was greatly loved and will be deeply missed. Sherry was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Roger Holt. Survivors include her husband David Harmon of the home; one son, Rick Smith and wife Melissa of Hindsville; one daughter, Lyniece Martin and Mike Townsend of Springdale; three sisters, Bebe Dale McFerrin of Springdale, Barbara D. Pulos of Springdale and Darlette Kendrick and husband Tommy of Springdale; three grandchildren, Forrest Smith, Griffin Smith, and Tyler Martin; one great-grandchild Macie Kaye Martin. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 16 at 10 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale with Pastor Gary Thomas and Pastor Ben Rowell officiating. Burial will follow in Bluff Cemetery.
