Sheryl was born October 20, 1942, in Wenatchee, WA, to Richard and Elsie Thomason. Sheryl graduated from Eastmont High School in East Wenatchee, WA and continued her education at Concordia College in Portland, OR and River Forest, IL. In the late 1960's, Sheryl taught parochial school, first in California, then settled in Tri-Cities, WA, where she taught at Bethlehem Lutheran in Kennewick. She soon after met her future husband, Peter Hof. They were married at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in November 1968. Although Sheryl and Peter later divorced, they continued to raise their two daughters together in Richland, WA. Sheryl was employed at Energy Northwest for over 20 years, and had recently retired. She was enjoying her retirement, spending time with family and catching up on projects around her house. She enjoyed shopping for antiques, reading, crossword puzzles, gardening and playing with her grandchildren. She was a member of Bethel Church in Richland, WA, although her roots were at Faith Lutheran Church in East Wenatchee, WA. Sheryl was preceded in death by both of her parents. She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Phelps of Pasco, WA and Rachel (David) Paxton of West Richland, WA; her grandchildren, Amanda, Keisha, Zachary and Christian; her sister, Marilyn (Stan) Delzer; her brother, Dennis (Katrina) Thomason; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2008, at Evergreen Memorial Park in East Wenatchee, WA. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in East Wenatchee. A reception will be held at the church, immediately following the service. An Open House for friends and former co-workers will be held on October 4, 2008, at Rachel's home at 2640 Royal Palm Avenue, West Richland, WA, from 1 to 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund of Faith Lutheran Church in East Wenatchee, WA or the building fund of Bethel Church in Richland, WA. Telford's Chapel of the Valley in East Wenatchee is in care of arrangements. Good-bye Mom. We all love you and will miss you dearly.
