Together they loved to travel and Shirley enjoyed bowling and traveling with her team to tournaments. Read More	* IN LOVING MEMORY OF * Shirley A. (Dewey) Shank was born on Sunday; May 12, 1929 in Rhodes; Marshall County, Iowa. She was the daughter of: Ray and Virginia (Phillips) Dewey. She was educated in Rhodes and moved to Marshalltown in 1938. On October 20, 1951, she was united in marriage to Stephen Shank. Together they loved to travel and Shirley enjoyed bowling and traveling with her team to tournaments. She loved spending time with her family and socializing on her brothers back patio enjoying a cold beer. Shirley loved her two cats and was an avid horse figurine collector. Shirley A. (Dewey) Shank, age: 82, passed away on Friday; March 30, 2012 at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center in Marshalltown; Marshall County, Iowa. Those left to mourn her passing are: Her brother: Darryll (Vanita) Dewey. Her sister in law: Elaine Kail both of Marshalltown, Iowa. Her nieces and nephews: Diane and Doug Dewey, Roger (Carol) Kail, Lissa (Rocky) Monk, all of Marshalltown and Laurie (Jim) Sinnwell of Charles City; Floyd County, Iowa. Mike (Jill) Dewey of Grand River; Decatur County, Iowa. Also many great nieces, nephews and a host of friends. In eternal life she joins her husband of 55 years: Stephen. Her parents, her brother: Gerald Dewey, her sister: Lorraine Dewey, her sister in law: Audrey Dewey, her brother in law: Ace Kail and her nephew: Dan Kail. May they rest in peace. May God bless her memory and give strength to those that mourn. Graveside services will begin at: 1:00 p.m. on Monday; April 2, 2012 at the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial donations in honor of Shirley may be directed to the Animal Rescue League in Marshalltown, Iowa.
