Description	:	Shirley A. Adams, 70, of Sun Lakes, Ariz., formerly of Nebraska City, died Friday, Nov. 17, 2000, at the Chandler Regional Hospital in Chandler, Ariz. She was born May 21, 1930, in Prescott City to Paul and Ella (Hermann) Giittinger. In 1947, she graduated from the Nebraska City High School. On Jan. 1, 1950, she married Jesse Adams in Nebraska City. To their union, a daughter, Kim, was born. Shirley loved playing golf, entertaining family and friends, traveling and sewing. Adams, 70, of Sun Lakes, Ariz., formerly of Nebraska City, died Friday, Nov. 17, 2000, at the Chandler Regional Hospital in Chandler, Ariz. She was born May 21, 1930, in Prescott City to Paul and Ella (Hermann) Giittinger. In 1947, she graduated from the Nebraska City High School. On Jan. 1, 1950, she married Jesse Adams in Nebraska City. To their union, a daughter, Kim, was born. Shirley loved playing golf, entertaining family and friends, traveling and sewing. She also enjoyed crafts and water aerobics. She was involved in the Women's Golf Association, Golden Goalies and the Birthday Club. She and her family moved to Sun Lakes, Ariz., in 1955. She worked as a secretary for Northwest Airlines until her retirement in 1984. Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister-in-law, Wava Giittinger. Survivors include her husband, Jesse Adams, of Sun Lakes, Ariz.; a daughter, Kim and her husband Rick Whalen, of Petaluma, Calif.:two grandchildren; brothers, Kenny Giittinger and Marvin Giittinger and his wife Murella, of Nebraska City, and Melvin and Evelyn Giittinger of Otoe; and orther relatives and friends. A memorial service occurred at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Peterson Mortuary Chapel in Nebraska City with the Rev. David Nystrom officiating Burial was at Wyuka Cemetery following the service.
