Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. Shirley Ann Mills was born December 13, 1930, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Caroline (Villhauer) Mills. Shirley graduated from Lone Tree Community Schools. On Jun 19, 1949, Shirley was united in marriage to James Edwin Eden in Iowa City. Shirley was a homemaker, who enjoyed taking care of outdoor flowers, ice skating, sewing, quilting each one of her grandchildren a quilt, watching her favorite NFL team the Indianapolis Colts, baking pecan rolls and cheese cakes, making her famous noodles and taking her children fishing. She was a member of the Lone Tree American Legion Auxiliary. Shirley will be deeply missed by her children, Loren (Linda) Eden, Randell (Kellie) Eden and Ed Eden, all of Lone Tree and Becky (Ron) Meyer of Solon, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one sister, Wanda (Jim) Ronan of Lone Tree and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James in 2012 and two brothers, Ed and Robert Mills.
