Description	:	Shirley Ann Binger, 69, of Redfield, S.D., formerly of Tulare, S.D., passed away Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, at Community Memorial Hospital, Redfield, surrounded by her family. She fought a 13 year battle with cancer. Her funeral will be held at Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007, at Tulare United Church, Tulare, S.D. Pastor Tim Fugman will officiate. Shirley Ann Sahli was born Oct. 27, 1937 to Steve and Theresa (Buechler) Sahli in Aberdeen, S.D. Redheaded Shirley attended school in Aberdeen and graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 1955. She married Wymond E. Woodward on Oct. 13, 1956 in Aberdeen, S.D. They lived on a farm west of Athol, S.D. Wymond was killed in a car accident on July 6, 1963 leaving Shirley with four small children, Richard, Randy, Sheryl and Rodney. On Dec. 5, 1964 she married Terrence (Tim) Binger in Miller, S.D. They farmed west of Tulare, S.D. where they made their home and were blessed with four more children, Darin, Brett, Cindy and Chad. Shirley was a devoted farm wife. She spent many hours cleaning up after eight messy children, including her husband, in the kitchen cooking meals and delivering lunches to the field. She especially enjoyed calving season. They retired in 2002 turning their farm over to "the boys" and moved to Redfield. Shirley devoted her whole life to her family. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a faithful Hitchcock-Tulare sports fan. Her pastimes included tending to her flowers and lawn, doing crossword puzzles and making scrapbooks for her grandchildren's graduations. She is survived by her husband Tim of Redfield; six sons: Richard (Shauna) Woodward; Randy (Dawn) Woodward; Darin (Mary) Binger; Brett (Susan) Binger and Chad (Kristie) Binger all of Tulare, S.D. and Rodney (Carmen) Woodward of Pierre, S.D.; two daughters: Sheryl (Dan) Jungwirth of Tulare, S.D.; and Cindy (Will) Chaplin of Hitchcock, S.D. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren including one that will be born Feb. 6, 2007 and one very special great-granddaughter Ashtin; her mother Theresa Sahli of Aberdeen, S.D.; two brothers: Gerald Sahli of Minot, N.D. and Ronald (Linda) Sahli of Aberdeen, S.D. and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her father, one granddaughter Kim Woodward and two sisters-in-law: Janice Potter and Sharon Sahli. Honorary pallbearers will be all her grandchildren and Robert J. Schultze, a fellow cancer patient, farm neighbor and friend. Pallbearers will be Harold Ost, Dave Willis, Gary Delaney, Wayne Nelson, Dennis Smith and Bruce Potter. Capital Journal January 25, 2007
