She was born June 5, 1925, on the Dodlin Rd., Enfield, ME, The daughter of George Hiram and Maude (Whittier) Currier. She grew up in Enfield, the youngest of ten children. In 1940, she married John Murray Fearney Sr., and they raised five sons between Maine and Meriden, Ct. While in Meriden, she worked in numerous factories. John passed away in 1963, and in 1970, she married Roger Wallace, riding all over the country in... She was born June 5, 1925, on the Dodlin Rd., Enfield, ME, The daughter of George Hiram and Maude (Whittier) Currier. She grew up in Enfield, the youngest of ten children. In 1940, she married John Murray Fearney Sr., and they raised five sons between Maine and Meriden, Ct. While in Meriden, she worked in numerous factories. John passed away in 1963, and in 1970, she married Roger Wallace, riding all over the country in his big rig before deciding to retire to Kingman, ME in 1985, where she was a member of the Eastern Star and the United Methodist Church of Mattawamkeag. She was fun loving, riding on the Harley and four wheeling, and she spent the last seventeen winters in Florida, surrounded by her five loving sons. Shirley is survived by a big loving family, four sons and their wives, William (Susan) Fearney, Dale (Gail) Fearney, Carroll (Kay) Fearney, all of Florida, and Gary (Barbara) Fearney of Florida and Kingman, ME; thirteen grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Also a special grandson-in-law, Wallace Burleigh. Shirley was predeceased by her two husbands, John and Roger; her parents; one son, John Jr.; two daughters-in-law, Elizabeth and Joy Fearney; three grandchildren, Denise Burleigh, Eric Fearney, and Dan Fearney; five sisters, Marjorie Cook, Florence Maynard, Doris Cook, Ella Scott, and Arlene Hesseltine Pride; four brothers, Walter, Carroll, Byron and George; and a very special niece, Gloria Jenkins. Graveside services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, September 29 at the Dodlin Road Cemetery, Enfield. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Clay Chapel, Lincoln.
