Description	:	Shirley Dell (Snuttjer) Timmer was born April 7, 1941, at Doon, Iowa, the daughter of Peter and Edna (Fiihr) Snuttjer. Shirley grew up on a farm west and north of George, Iowa where she attended country school. She graduated from George High School in 1959. On September 29, 1961, Shirley was united in marriage to Marvin Timmer at Hope Reformed Church in rural George, Iowa. Read More	Shirley Dell (Snuttjer) Timmer was born April 7, 1941, at Doon, Iowa, the daughter of Peter and Edna (Fiihr) Snuttjer. Shirley grew up on a farm west and north of George, Iowa where she attended country school. She graduated from George High School in 1959. On September 29, 1961, Shirley was united in marriage to Marvin Timmer at Hope Reformed Church in rural George, Iowa. Shirley and Marvin made their home on a farm west and north of George, where they raised their family and worked the land. Shirley enjoyed working on the farm and making donuts at Casey's General Store at George. This past Tuesday, March 11, 2008 she passed away at Avera McKennan Hospital in sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of sisty-six years, eleven months and four days. She is survived by her husband, Marvin Timmer of Ireton, Iowa; their children, Marlene Timmer and special friend, Jason Johnson and family of George, Iowa; Myron Timmer of LeMars, Iowa; Marsha and her husband, Brent DeBoom of Sioux Center, Iowa, Milton Timmer and special friend, Kari Hoogendoorn of Sioux Center, Iowa; Mike Timmer and fiancé, Amanda Simpson of Haywarden, Iowa; five grandchildren, Ashley Eben and fiancé Chris Johnso, Amanda Even, Jake Pedersen, Paige DeBoom and Amelia Timmer; one great grandson, Cole Johnson; stepmother Elsie Snuttjer of Prairie de Chien, Wisconon; brother, Gene and his wife Wanda Snuttjer of Sioux City, Iowa; brother-in-law, Art and his wife Gertrude Timmer of Adrian, Minnesota; sisters-in-law, Lorenza and her husband Jim Kruse of Jasper, Minnesota; and Janelle and her husband Keith Van Drunen of George, Iowa Shirly was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Edna Snuttjer. Funeral services were held on March 15, 2008 at Hope Reformed Church of rural George, with interment in the church cemetery (Jurrens Funeral Homes Obituary)
