Heathman and Wilna Christina (Cruickshank*) Heathman, was born on November 29, 1926 in Russell, MN. She graduated from Des Moines Township School north of Rolfe. On March 2, 1947 Shirley was united in marriage with Dean Stover in Rolfe. Shirley had worked as a payroll advisor for Berkley and Company, retiring in 1996. She was a member of the Eastern Star, BPW and an advisor for Rainbow for Girls. At the First Presbyterian Church she had been the secretary, taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. Shirley loved being around her grandkids and great grandkids. She enjoyed spending time at the cottage at the lake, playing cards, golf, the piano, cooking, volunteering and attending sporting events. Left to cherish Shirley's memory is her son, Merlin; two grandchildren, Mark and Kristi; five great grandchildren, Devon, Madeline, Ashlyn, Mason and Kendal; two sisters, Carol (Rich) Struthers of Grove City, MN and Gwen Warden of Blair, NE; and a brother, Bob Heathman of Rochester, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Dean in 2005; and brothers, Orville, Loren and Virgil Heathman. Shirley lived 87 years, 7 months and 10 days.
