She was preceded in death by her father, Everett Hogan; stepfather, Edward Hogan, and three brothers, Wendell, Mickey and Darrell Hogan. Shirley was born Jan. 23, 1932, in Iowa City where she married Jack Hofmann on Feb. 7, 1953. Shewas a homemaker, a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Shirley touched many lives through her nature to yield herself to theneeds of others. She was very devoted to her family and grandchildren and will be greatly missed. Friends may give to the American Lung Association instead of flowers.
