Miss Nave was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late James Orville and Dorcas Byers Nave. Miss Nave was a 1957 graduate of Elizabethton High School. She was a retired employee of Denise Lingerie, Johnson City, and a member of Hunter First Baptist Church. Miss Nave was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late James Orville and Dorcas Byers Nave. Miss Nave was a 1957 graduate of Elizabethton High School. She was a retired employee of Denise Lingerie, Johnson City, and a member of Hunter First Baptist Church. Survivors include four sisters, Azilee Buckles and Ruble Campbell, both of Elizabethton, Arbee Johnson, Nashville, and Norma Sue Miller, Kernersville, N.C., and four brothers, Thurman Nave, Sheltham, Md., Sidney Nave, Johnson City, Kenneth Nave, Elizabethton, and David Nave, Onley, Md. Several nieces, nephews and special friends also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. NAVE -- Funeral services for Shirley Jean Nave, 65, 121 Hope Street, Elizabethton, who died Thursday, July 11, 2002, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 13, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Don Fisher and the Rev. Burl Garland officiating. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Eric Eggers officiating.
