Description	:	Shirley Bonjour age 81, Shirley BONJOUR, of Anamosa and formerly of rural Monticello, died Wednesday evening, June 28, 2006 at her home following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held 10:30 Monday morning, July 3, 2006 at S.S. Peter and Paul Lutheran Church, rural Monticello with interment in the Prairie Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 until 7 Sunday at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello. Rev. Paul Finger will officiate at the services. Surviving are 4 children, Bonnie (David) Chappell, and Douglas (Patricia) Bonjour both of Monticello, Belva (Ron) Lund, Longville, Minnesota, Brenda (Bill ) Crowley, Anamosa, a daughter –in-law, Gloria Hammonds, Davenport, a son-in-law, Gary Kromminga, Robbins, 12 grandchildren, a step-grandson, 20 great-Grandchildren 2 step-great-Grandchildren, 3 Sisters, Lelia Mayer, and Caroline Harbaugh both of Garber, Gloria (Larold) Thomson, Elk River, Minnesota, 3 brothers, Clete (Sue) Moser, Hawkeye, David (Lee) Moser, Dyersville, Elwood (Bev) Moser, Marion and a sister-in-law, Evy Moser, Rock Island. She was preceded in death by her Parents, her husband Orville, a son Virgil and a daughter, Betty Kromminga, a granddaughter, LeeAnna Lund, a sister Elsie and 2 brothers Carson and Ted. Shirley L. Moser was born May 4, 1925 at Osterdock, Iowa. She was the daughter of Leonard and Golda Belle Hansel, Moser. Shirley received her education in the rural schools near her home. Shirley L.Moser and Orville Bonjour were married December 28, 1942 at Guttenberg, Iowa. The couple farmed near Osterdock, Hampton, Garber, and Volga. In 1965 they moved to the Monticello area and farmed in Castle Grove Township. In 1975 they purchased their farm in Richland Township. Shirley had also worked at Pictured Rocks Methodist Camp and at Lewis Systems. Orville preceded her in death on May 29, 1993. Shirley continued to live on the farm until September of 2005 when she moved to Anamosa. She was a member of S.S. Peter and Paul Lutheran Church, the ELCW, the 1341 Ladies WWI Auxiliary. Shirley loved to watch the Birds, her Flowers, Cats, and weekly visits to the farm. She was an excellent cook and loved to play cards with her family.
