Description	:	Funeral services for Shirley Busby Cross were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Oak Grove Baptist Church, LaCamp, Pastors Howard Holton and Charles Robinson officiated. Burial followed in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria. On January 20, 2010 Shirley passed peacefully from this life as she slept, and rejoined her mother and father in glory. Her selfless devotion to the needs of her family made her the most priceless treasure to those whose lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis Sherman and Delia Inez Potter Busby. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Gerald 'Ken" Cross; daughters, Melanie Cross Elliott and Mendy Cross; sons, Mark Cross and wife, Ginger, Michael Cross and wife, Julie and Matthew Cross and fiancée Paige Bordelon; sister, Sandra Smith; brother, Sherman Busby and wife, Jeannie; grandchildren, Jordain Slaydon, Dustin Cross, Dakota Cross, Delia Cross, Parker Marie Elliott, Scott Cross, Kassidy Cross and Clint Cross; great grandchildren, Alex Slaydon and soon to arrive Gracie Cross; and a host of special aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly. Pallbearers were Mark Cross, Michael Cross, Matthew Cross, Scott Cross, Dustin Cross and Chad Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Dakota Cross, Clint Cross, Randall Gonzales, J. L. Busby and Timothy Busby. Memorials may be sent to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, Tennessee 38105, in memory of her niece, Tammy Jo Busby.
