(Liskey) Miller, 78, of Buchanan, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, at her winter home in Naples, Fla. She was born May 2, 1923, in New Troy to Robert and Cleo (Pletcher) Liskey, who preceded her in death. On March 20, 1943, in Three Oaks, she married John A. Miller. He survives, along with their four sons and spouses -- Gregg (Susan) and Jim (Sheryl) of Buchanan, Thom (Penny) of Indianapolis and Brad (Debbie) of Holliston, Mass. She is also survived by eight grandchildren -- Brian, Casey, Beth Anderson, Chad, Laura, John, Jeff and Jayme; three great-grandchildren -- Reilly Anderson, Kyle and Alana Miller; a brother, Robert Liskey Jr. of Mercedes, Texas; and two sisters -- Marilyn Kiel of Stevensville and Marian Cutler of Grandville, Mich. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Doris Blaney, of Buchanan. Shirley was a member of the Buchanan Book Club, St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Church Alter Society. She was deeply devoted to her loving husband of 58 years, her family and their shared faith in Christ. Shirley enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading and writing cards and letters to family members and her many friends. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Swem Funeral Home, Buchanan, with the Rosary being recited at 7:30 p.m. A mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to St. Anthony Catholic Church.
