Description	:	Shirley Mae Welch passed away April 24, 2013. She was born on Jan. 19, 1930, in Nibbie, Mont., a daughter of Della and Joe Wilson. Shirley met Lloyd Welch at Hysham and they were married May 21, 1948. They had five sons and lived at Hysham until 1963, when they moved to the Shepherd area. She was born on Jan. 19, 1930, in Nibbie, Mont., a daughter of Della and Joe Wilson. Shirley met Lloyd Welch at Hysham and they were married May 21, 1948. They had five sons and lived at Hysham until 1963, when they moved to the Shepherd area. They rented a farm together where she and her family had a lot of good times together with family and friends. In 1987, she and Lloyd purchased a home in Billings. After raising five sons, Shirley worked in the O.R. Supply department at Billings Clinic for 27 years until she retired. She enjoyed her vegetable garden, canning, baking, fishing and spending time with her family. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lloyd; a sister Betty; and son Michael Lloyd. She is survived by sons Randy (Dianne), Patrick (Cindy), Joe (Joy), and Douglas; a daughter-in-law Linda Welch; five grandsons, Jeremiah (Jayme), Jonathan, Clinton (Alex), Jesse and Wesley; and four granddaughters, Deanna (Travis), Crystal (Jeff), Melissa (Matt), and Bridgett (Mitch); many great-grandchildren; a sister Pattie Willems and many nieces and nephews. Visitations will begin at noon on Sunday at the Smith Downtown Chapel. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 29, at the Smith Downtown Chapel with interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
