Born on Sept. 30, 1927, in Rotterdam, N.Y., she was the daughter of Barlow and Lillian (Hewitt) Rozell. Read More	WEST RUTLAND - Shirley Marie (Rozell) Jarrosak, 83, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at the Rutland Regional Medical Center, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born on Sept. 30, 1927, in Rotterdam, N.Y., she was the daughter of Barlow and Lillian (Hewitt) Rozell. She attended school in Hampton and Whitehall, N.Y., and continued her education well into her adult life. She married John Jarrosak on July 17, 1954, at St. Raphael's Church in Poultney. She was employed for many years at Tambrands (Tampax) in Rutland, retiring in 1986. She was a longtime resident of West Rutland and a member of the West Rutland American Legion Women's Auxiliary Unit 87 and Loyal Order of the Moose Auxiliary Lodge 1122 and also a member of St. Bridget's Church in West Rutland. She had many friends and loved social events as well as family outings. Shirley adored her family and especially treasured her time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, John Jarrosak of West Rutland; two sons, Terry Jarrosak and his wife Nancy of Rutland and Kevin Jarrosak of West Rutland; a granddaughter, Shayna Jarrosak and her fiancé Michael Bertholet of Meredith, N.H.; three grandsons, Jared Jarrosak of Northfield, N.H., Alexander Jarrosak of Rutland and Jaden Jarrosak of West Rutland; a great-granddaughter, Arianna Bertholet of Meredith N.H.; six brothers, Richard Rozell, Fred Rozell and Thomas Rozell, all of Granville, N.Y., Philip Rozell of Vero Beach, Fla., David Rozell of Berwick, Pa., and Clarence Rozell of Lake Alfred, Fla.; a sister, Elizabeth Constantine of Middle Granville, N.Y.; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Janice Panoushek, and four brothers, Charles Rozell, Edward Rozell, Barlow Rozell and Robert Rozell. Calling hours will be Friday, Dec. 31, from 11 a.m. -- 1 p.m. followed by a remembrance service and celebration of her life at the Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland. Officiating will be Rev. Vincent Coppola, pastor of St. Bridget's Church in West Rutland. Memorial contributions may be made to the West Rutland American Legion Women's Auxiliary Unit 87.
