Dale Pracht will officiate with burial will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Norfolk. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Home for Funerals in Norfolk. She grew up and attended school in Winside and graduated from beauty school in Norfolk. She worked at Tressa Ray's Beauty Shop before staying home to raise her children. Shirley married Kenneth Wayne Cook on Sept. 1, 1946, in Hiawatha, Kan. Following Kenneth's death in 1982, she managed W & F Machine Works. Her hobbies included ceramics, crafts, fishing, playing cards and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a long time member of the Norfolk Rebekah Lodge. Shirley is survived by her son, Kim (Connie) Cook of Hull, Iowa; her daughter, Shelley (Brian) Tharp of Norfolk; her grandchildren, Heidi Nutzman of Norfolk, Katie Keizer of Doon, Iowa, Aaron Tharp of Omaha and Lance Tharp of Lincoln; her great-grandchildren, Kenna and Kaden Nutzman of Norfolk; her brother, Reuben Prince of Norfolk; her sisters, Jean Kelley of Oklahoma, Mary Pittet of Plainview and Linda Weich of Norfolk; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse Kenneth; and her siblings, Marvin Prince, Evelyn Faubel and Phyllis Matya. Memorial managed by 10th cousin
