Born December 16, 1925 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Harry Ross and Martha Florence Wilhelm McComas. She was the wife of the late Richard Franklin Simpers, who died in 2001. Mrs. Simpers worked alongside her husband on their dairy farm for over 50 years and lived on their farm for over 70 years. She and her husband were foster parents to many children for 20 years. Born December 16, 1925 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Harry Ross and Martha Florence Wilhelm McComas. She was the wife of the late Richard Franklin Simpers, who died in 2001. Mrs. Simpers worked alongside her husband on their dairy farm for over 50 years and lived on their farm for over 70 years. She and her husband were foster parents to many children for 20 years. She enjoyed corresponding with her pen pals across the country and made lasting friendships. She was a lifelong member of Salem United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughters Brenda Rowe and husband Harold of Manchester and Dixie Hoff and husband Daniel of Elk Creek, VA. She was the devoted grandmother to Evan Rowe and wife Melissa, Kayci Hoff, Erin Deli and husband Bryan, Jayson Hoff and Jonathon Hoff and great-grandmother to Dustin and Allie Rowe. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister Eileen Fowble and brothers Myles McComas and Sterling McComas. Funeral services and interment will be private. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Eline Funeral Home, Hampstead, MD.
