Surviving are her husband, Sam Thomas Harris; two daughters, Barbara Harris Moore of Woodbine, Ga. and Carole Harris Burke of Papillion, Neb.; two sons, Gary Thomas Harris of Summerville and Darrell Eugene Harris of Long Island, N.Y.; four sisters, Jean Howard, Doris Howard, and June Beard all of Chepachet, R.I. and Gail Peckham of Foster, R.I.; a brother, Walter Brown Monroe, III, of Daytona Beach, Fla.; and 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
