French, 73, passed away early Thursday morning, May 11, 2006, at Eagle Cliff Manor in Billings, MT. Sidney was born Aug. 23, 1932, in Worden, MT., one of four children of Ralph and Juanita Gossett French. H e attended school in Worden and then worked on the farm near Shepherd. He was later employed at the experiment Station near Huntley, retiring in 1944. During his retirement, Sidney lived in Worden and moved into Eagle Cliff Manor in Billings, MT., in 2004 Sidney was a devoted Christian and had been an active member of the Worden Nazarene Church. He loved baseball and attended Billings Mustangs games whenever he could. He also collected stamps and coins as a hobby. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Richard Lawrence French, Chancy Junior "Jessie: French and Stan Langve French. He is survived by a sister, Joyce French of Shepherd; two very close cousins, Almira Gossett and Vernie Ayer; and other nieces and nephews. A time for visitations will be held from noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 14, at Smith Downtown Chapel, Billings. Cremation will follow and no public services are scheduled. Private interment of the urn will be in the Pleasantview Cemetery in Ballantine, MT. Memorials are suggested to the church of your choice.
