Description	:	Sidney O. Drew, 78, Dies in S.C. Sidney O. Drew, 78, for many years a baker in Sioux Falls, died at a Sioux City hospital Friday after being ill since last Christmas. Although Mr. Drew, had not made his home in Sioux Falls for some years, many remember him when he operated the Midwest Bakery Co. on E. 8th St. from 1910 to 1930. Drew, 78, Dies in S.C. Sidney O. Drew, 78, for many years a baker in Sioux Falls, died at a Sioux City hospital Friday after being ill since last Christmas. Although Mr. Drew, had not made his home in Sioux Falls for some years, many remember him when he operated the Midwest Bakery Co. on E. 8th St. from 1910 to 1930. He served as president of the South Dakota Bakers Association for many years. Mr. Drew was born in Oshkosh, Wis., on Nov. 21, 1875 and came to Sioux Falls in 1900. He was married to Lillian Kelly in Sioux Falls on Dec. 7, 1902. Mrs. Drew died in 1933. While in Sioux Falls, Mr. Drew was active in the Municipal Band and was a past president of the Musicians' Association. Prior to retiring from the bakery business in 1940, he operated a bakery in Sioux City in 1923 and also operated bakeries in Marshall and Springfield, Minn. He was active in the Episcopal Church and was a member of the Elks Club while in Sioux Falls. Mr. Drew is survived by four sons, John of Seattle, Roswell K. of Sioux Falls, Ralph of Sioux City, and Sidney Jr. of Palacios, Tex.; one daughter, Mrs. Douglas Garwell, Minot, ND.; and six grandchildren.
