Read More	Fremont Evening Tribune May 26 1921 Sike Christensen dies at West Point Resident of Nickerson Township for Forty Years Sike Christensen, resident of Dodge county for 40 years, passed away yesterday at St. Joseph's hospital at West Point after a long illness. Mr. Christensen was a prosperous farmer of Nickerson township, living 6 miles northwest of Fremont and enjoyed a large acquaintance in this section of the county. 5 years ago he suffered a stroke of paralysis and never recovered. He had been helpless for the last year and a half and before going to West Point was in the Fremont Hospital. The deceased was born in Denmark, October 28 1852 and at the age of 20 came to this country settling at Warren, PA. He was married to Christina Anderson at that place, Feb 28, 1878. In 1881 they came to Dodge county and bought a farm in Nickerson township. Mr. Christensen was an industrious farmer and made a success of the business buying another tract later on. He was always prominent in the affairs of the township and took an active part in politics on the republican side and held various offices in the precinct. He was a member of the Odd Fellows and of the Danish Lutheran church on the Bluffs. He is survived by his wife, 10 children and 14 grandchildren. The children are Frank, Sidney, Mrs. Sadie Johnson (Denver), Charles and Roy (Plainview), Clarence, Harry, Mrs. Fred Stewart, Edna, Ralph, and Albert (Fremont). A year ago Mrs. Christensen moved to Sidney but returned to Fremont last fall and has been keeping house for Edna and Ralph, who are attending Midland College. The funeral will be held from the Danish Lutheran church in this city Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. James C. Peterson officiating. The Odd Fellows will be in charge of the service in Ridge Cemetery.
