Born in Hagerstown, he was the son of Harry S. and Eva Wolfensberger Middlekauff. He had been employed as a bus driver by Greyhound Bus Lines, retiring in 1969 after 40 years of service. Earlier in his career he worked for the Blue Ridge Bus Lines. He was of the Protestant faith. He is survived by his wife, Elsie B. Stewart Middlekauff; two daughters, Mrs. Doris B. Hoopengardner, Norfolk, Va.; and Mrs. Thelma E. Mauk, Baltimore; four sisters, Mrs. Edna Strausner, State Line, Pa.; Mrs. Letha Shatzer, Hagerstown; Mrs. Helen Hause, Paramount; and Mrs. Pauline Palmer, St. James; and eigh grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
