Pallbearers will be members of the DULUV Lodge of Dickinson, and interment is to be in St Patrick's cemetery. Mr. Blank was born in Salem Pennsylvania, April 22, 1873. He married Mary Jares in Dickinson in 1900, and she preceded him in death in 1935. He was married to Mary Sohm in Wibaux, Montana, in 1941. Mr. Blank, with three brothers who have preceded him in death, was among the early settlers of the west. He came here at the age of 12 and was engaged in ranching in the surrounding area. After his first marriage he moved to Dickinson where he farmed on Green river. Later he was associated with Walton and Davis Lumber company. He homesteaded in Grassy Butte and at one time owned a draying line at Belfield. Nine years ago he returned to Dickinson to make his home. Survivors include his wife and five children; Frank, Chicago; Archie, Trenton, N.J.; Lewis, Bismark; Robert, Miles City, Montana; and Mrs. James W. Hopkins, Dayton, Ohio. He is also survived by several grandchildren. A son, Walter, was killed while on submarine duty during World War II. The remains will lie in state at Price-Tobin funeral home until Saturday morning. [Note about this obituary: Records show that the Blanks left Pennsylvania in 1866-1867, and the rest of Aloysius and Helena's children were born in Iowa, so it's very unlikely that Simon was born in PA.
