Description	:	Simon Dahuff, son of Jonas and Rebekah Dahuff, was born in Columbiana County, Ohio, December 13, 1840 and died at his home near Pleasant Lake June 23, 1906, age 65 years 6 months and 10 days. He came with his parents to Steuben County in 1845, at the age of 23, he enlisted at Pleasant Lake, Indiana in Co. H -74th Indiana Volunteers and with his regiment participated in the battles of Atlanta, Jonesboro and Sherman's memorable march to the sea. Read More	Simon Dahuff, son of Jonas and Rebekah Dahuff, was born in Columbiana County, Ohio, December 13, 1840 and died at his home near Pleasant Lake June 23, 1906, age 65 years 6 months and 10 days. Then North through Raleigh, Richmond, Alexandria to Washington. After a brief furlough, he transferred to the 22nd Indiana and was mustered out. Mr. Dahuff was married to Mary Horner July 11, 1869. To this union were born three children, Willis A Dahuff, Mrs. Ella Pincheon of Kinderhook, and Miss Martha Dahuff, who with his wife, four grandchildren, and two sisters, Lucy Earnest of Fairfield Center, Indiana and Mrs. Elizabeth Myers of Hudson, Indiana survive him. Mr. Dahuff moved into his farm which he has since much improved and where he has made his home in 1884. He was baptized into the fellowship of the Pleasant Lake Baptist Church during the pastorate of Elder McConnell. Mr. Dahuff was a careful industrious man, who had done well his part of the worlds work for his home, his country, and the community in which he lived. Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist Church at Pleasant Lake June 25. Rev. Roberts officiating. Burial in Mount Zion Cemetery. STEUBEN REPUBLICAN July 4, 1906 p. 1.
