He was the President of the Danish Brotherhood and D.F.S. Society and an assistant city assessor for 10 years. He died following an operation. He was 74. Survived by wife, two daughters and two grandsons. Preceded by his parents, two sons, and a brother A. J. Kildegaard in St. Johannes Danish Lutheran church at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon, preceded by a 2 o'clock service in the home. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery. The body reposes in Pape's funeral home until 6 p.m. today when it will be taken to the family residence. Mr. Hansen was born March 8, 1863 in Denmark, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hansen. He was married here March 30, 1889 to Miss Kristina Hansen. President of the Danish Brotherhood and of the D.F.S. society, he also was assistant city assessor for 10 years, a member of Western Star lodge, 100 A.F. and A.M., and DeMolay consistory, as well as being a life member of the Danish church, having been confirmed in Denmark. He leaves his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Carl Scott of Clinton and Mrs. Frank McClintock of Almont, and two grandsons, Wilbur and Frank Scott of Clinton. Preceding him were his father and mother; two sons, Soren and Frank, and a brother, A.J. Hansen.
