Description	:	Age 60. He immigrated from Norway with his parents and 4 siblings ( Ole, Charles, Synneva, and Olina) to Dane County Wisconsin, about 1847. They arrived on the ship Dorothea, on July 5th, 1848 at New York harbor. At least one sibling was added to his family after their immigration: Hans (Memorial ID #83404188). He grew to manhood in Wisconsin, marrying Anna Thomasdatter / Thompson in 1877. He was a charter member of Lake Whitewood Lutheran church, serving as the first secretary in 1883, and as a song leader/Klokker in the early days of the church. An obituary states that his cause of death was "while hauling grain, he was not feeling well, taken to the house. It is thought that he had a stroke of apoplexy, but we understand heart failure was the immediate cause".
