Sofia as much as I can remember, was a poem writer and loved her church and ladies at the circle that she was involved with. She loved to laugh and entertain and was always inviting us to her home. She loved picnic's, visiting the Delta in Stockton and eating out at the Olde Hoosier Inn, in Stockton. She always order chicken liver's that was on the menu. She loved them. Later, she moved to Fresno to be near her daughter, Jean Frech. She lived in The Village on Chestnut Ave. The story is, she use to be a "home mother" in the girls dorm at Pacific College in Stockton. The stories she told about the "dorm" and the lady students that lived there.. She loved apple pie, with a slice of cheese, that was always so good, she was a great cook and hostesses. I remember her stories of Minnesota. I don't know if she was born there, but she said the winter's were miserable. She had a daughter, Jean Frech, and a son, name unknown. I miss her very much. Rest in Peace, dear Sofia.
