Description	:	A son of Amos and Elizabeth (Biddinger) Cann, Solomon lived most of his life in Butler Co., OH. He married, first, Ann Elizabeth Morris in 1866, and the couple parented four daughters. Following Ann's 1882 death, Solomon moved joined family in Sumner Co., KS for a brief time. In 1894, Solomon married Alice West and the two became parents of a daughter and a son. He was a well known barber in Butler Co., OH. His obituary follows: "Solomon Cann, a well known barber of Lindenwald, died at his home, 660 Williams avenue, Thursday... His obituary follows: "Solomon Cann, a well known barber of Lindenwald, died at his home, 660 Williams avenue, Thursday night at 11:35 o'clock of pneumonia, at the age of 72 years, 6 months and 19 days. He was one of the oldest barbers in Butler county. "He was born in Morgan township May 4, 1844. He is survived by the widow, three daughters by a first marriage, Mrs. Margaret McConnell, Mrs. Elizabeth Thomas and Mrs. Nora Cisle and by two sons by a second marriage, Herbert and Clarence Cann; also by two brothers, John and Fred Cann of Wellington, Kansas, and seven grandchildren to mourn his loss. "The funeral will take place in the church of Christ, Lindenwald, Monday at 10 a.m., Rev. Craig W. Schwartz, officiating. Interment in the cemetery at Shandon."
